I was inspired by the superfood that is the pomegranate, partnered with the XTEND5 CBA (Copaiba oil) Nourish Nectar for this delicious play on the traditional margarita. The pomegranate comes into season here in California mid to late September, and this cocktail is a treat to the senses and feels a little exotic all at the same time. With its addition of the XTEND5 Copaiba Nourish Nectar, you can also know your drink contains a heavy dose of Beta-Caryophyllene, that supports the reduction of inflammation in the body. So gather your friends and sip on this flavorful margarita.
Makes 4 Margaritas
- 2 ½ Cups pomegranate juice
- 1 Cup Tequila
- 1 ½ Cup fresh lime juice
- ¾ Cup Triple Sec or Cointreau
- 3 Cups of ice
- Black lava salt or Kosher salt for rim
- Garnish with pomegranate seeds and 1-2 ml of Copaiba Nourish Nectar blend
Step 1: In a shallow dish, place some of your chosen salt. Lime the rim and salt half or the whole rim of the glass.
Step 2: Place all the ingredients in a pitcher and mix well.
Step 3: Pour into your salted glasses and serve with pomegranate seeds and 1-2 ml serving of Copaiba Nourish Nectar.
